Agent orchestration and workspaces

ParadevAI/

Paradev

Desktop app that gives each task its own Git worktree, terminals, diff review and browser preview. Works with Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode.

What’s new here

Paradev is the workspace around the agents you already use. Each task gets a Git worktree with its own branch, terminals and browser preview, and you review the patch in the same window. The README is clear that worktrees separate files but do not sandbox processes or prevent merge conflicts.

What it does

You add a repository, create a workspace, pick a CLI agent and describe a change. The agent runs in a terminal inside that workspace. You inspect its patch in the Changes view, run tests, and preview the app in a built-in browser pane before you commit.

The README lists many supported agents, including Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Cursor Agent, Gemini CLI and Amp Code. Any other CLI agent works without configuration. You can also connect providers such as OpenRouter, Bedrock, Vertex or Vercel AI Gateway.

There is more around the core: a sidebar that tracks each agent’s status, PR feedback sent straight to an agent from diff lines, scheduled automations, remote access to another machine, and an iPhone and iPad app that needs Paradev Pro and iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. A CLI, a TypeScript SDK and an MCP server let scripts and agents create and manage workspaces.

Who it’s for

Developers who already run Claude Code, Codex or a similar CLI agent and want several tasks going at once, each in its own Git worktree and branch. It suits macOS users most, since the README calls macOS the primary target.

Try it

Download the desktop app from the latest release. The README says all you need installed is Git. gh is optional and enables the PR workflows. A prebuilt release is available, so you do not need to build from source.

  • macOS: Apple Silicon and Intel .dmg files
  • Linux: x64 AppImage, marked experimental
  • Windows: not yet available

The CLI comes with the desktop app, or install it standalone:

curl -fsSL https://paradev.com/cli/install.sh | sh
# or
brew install paradevai/tap/superset

Then add a repository, create a workspace, choose your agent and describe a small change.

How mature is it

The repo has 15,621 stars and 1,384 forks, and was created on 2025-10-21. The latest push was 2026-10-27. The latest release is desktop-v2.0.0 from 2026-10-26, and the release count is capped at 100 in the data. The contributor count and 90-day commit count are also capped at 100, so there were at least 100 commits in the last 90 days. There are 491 open issues and 567 open pull requests. The license is Elastic License 2.0, which lets you use, fork, modify and self-host it but not resell Paradev itself as a service. The README says the desktop app is free forever. Windows is not yet available and Linux is experimental.
