Agent skills and plugins

claude-code-playground

Anthropic DevRel's working collection of Claude Code hooks, CLAUDE.md files, settings, mods, skills and launch demos.

What’s new here

Each entry includes the real files, then a README that says which model was used, which prompts were tried, what broke, and why the final setup looks the way it does. The provenance is the point: not a template to fork, but a documented record of how something was built.

What it does

The repo is organized into several directories. claude-code/hooks/ has hook examples, one folder per hook. claude-code/claude-md/ has real CLAUDE.md files with commentary. claude-code/settings/ has settings.json examples. claude-code/workflows/ has end-to-end personal setups. claude-code/mods/ has plugins that change what Claude Code renders or how it calls tools. skills/ holds reusable skills not in the official marketplace. demos/ and launch-demos/ contain art-of-the-possible examples, including the exact prompts used at model launches.

Every entry is self-contained. Open its folder, read its README, follow the “Run it” section. Nothing is installed or configured at the repository root.

The repo is published by hand from a private source repository. No CI job or bot pushes entries to the public side; a maintainer reviews and commits every export manually.

Who it’s for

Claude Code users who want to see real working configurations rather than starter templates. Useful when you are trying to understand what hooks, mods or CLAUDE.md patterns actually look like in practice, or when you want to reproduce a demo from an Anthropic model launch.

Try it

No root-level install. Each entry is self-contained:

git clone https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code-playground
cd claude-code-playground/<entry-folder>
# follow the "Run it" section in that folder's README

Requirements vary by entry; check each folder’s README for Claude Code version, API key needs and any third-party dependencies.
